Take melodic musical works from the 60’s, blend it together with 90’s brit-rock and you will have the Canadian four-piece band, rhodes
Never trying to fit into a particular scene, rhodes has always held close a belief when creating music….don’t write to be liked, write what you like. With this simple principle, the music which they have been producing brings a soothing, confident feel that is a breath of fresh air to the current market. When listening to rhodes, each of the four member’s passion is visible as their influences merge together to produce an inimitable audio experience.
Hailing from the south side of Edmonton, rhodes have certainly created a local buzz. The confidence and swagger they project is reflective to their driving modern rock anthems. Consisting of two brothers and two longtime friends, they simply love to make music – “for ourselves, for our fans, and for as many people as possible”.
With 2 EPs and a Full Length LP under their belt, rhodes are constantly developing their craft. Releasing their music via digital retailers iTunes and Rhapsody, as well as being integral with social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook, has provided themselves the opportunities to reach listeners and fans from around the world.
The passion they have for their music is very evident, “we are strong believers in continuously improving and challenging ourselves when creating new music; we are eagerly looking onto the horizon.” While weaving their way into the Edmonton music scene and expanding their following, it is only a matter of time.
