Dextress w/Open Air @ Shaker’s Roadhouse
Friday, March 23 at
15004 Yellowhead Trail
debaucherous night fuelled by the larger than life sounds of some of the best Edmonton and Calgary have to offer!
Armed with a sound that’s primal and in your face, Dextress will make you move no matter what they’re playing!
Sometimes letting loose means getting a little messy! With their heavy chords, slick solos, and wailing vocals, Dextress will make your hangover worth every minute!
“Revival” is certainly an apt term for what Open Air bring to the table. The band’s sound is like a blender full of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Cream with a dash of just about everything else rock from the late 60's and beyond.
At the band's core are four musicians who honestly enjoy what they do, and this is what sets them apart. There is a youthful exuberance and a true appreciation for what’s around them, namely their art and their audience.
So modernly old school, Open Air’s goal is to bring back musicianship, relying on talent rather than machines to manipulate their sound. With a high-energy, no-holds-barred live show, Open Air give their fans all the loud, raw and gritty attitude that rock n' roll is made of.
The band is currently writing new material for release in 2018, Open Air has released the EP - “Extended Play, and then hit the stage, opening for acts as One Bad Son, The Trews, Head of the Herd and the Glorious Sons. In 2015 released the full-length album - "Lessons From The Crow", gaining opening slots with the Headstones and Rival Sons. All Ages Show
