Olivia Roses’ natural ability to connect with an audience through the emotion and story of a song make it difficult to believe this singer/songwriter is only 14 years of age.
Olivia Rose’s song crafting ability is swiftly gaining her the attention of many. Her song, 15 Minutes, written when she was just 9 years old was entered into the Calgary Folk Fest songwriting competition in the open category, as she wasn’t old enough to enter the junior category, won her a judge’s discretionary award in 2012. She then won another judges discretionary award in 2013 for her song Make-Up to Mud. Olivia Rose was ecstatic when she made Top 10 in the national Slaight music contest “It’s Your Shot”.
Over the last four years there has been a whirlwind of amazing opportunities for Olivia Rose to perform on some of Alberta’s finest stages and venues, with an awesome array of artists.
Olivia Rose feels her music is like her personality; Country with a little edge. Her songs get stuck in your consciousness and will leave you humming them long after she has quit strumming her guitar. With a dazzling stage presence and a beautiful smile Olivia Rose stands out as one of Alberta’s up and coming independent country music artists.

People find this amazing in someone so young but what is really amazing is the fact that Olivia Rose was born with a cleft palate and hearing loss. Overcoming these obstacles to pursue her dreams is Olivia Rose’s most important achievement to date.
