Celeigh Cardinal

Celeigh Cardinal is a prairie girl through and through. Blues and Jazz roots dig deep through her heartfelt folk songs. This sultry singer/songwriter is easily one of the finest vocalists to hail from the Peace Country. Her music is as inspired by the wind that whistles through evergreen trees as it is by the heartbreak/joy of love and pain/euphoria of vulnerability. She has achieved numerous credits over her 13+ performing years. Celeigh won the Sun FM Star Search with her band “Bella Bella” and was also named the Cultural Ambassador for Arctic Winter Games 2010 for her artistic and cultural contributions. The latter led to monumental performances for thousands of youth from all over the world. She was awarded with an Aboriginal Youth Role Model Award in 2010 in Grande Prairie for her dedication to Arts, music and creativity. She has opened for the Beach Boys, Buffy St. Marie, Econoline Crush, Dr. Hook, Hey Ocean, Matt Andersen, Del Barber and more. She has also shared festival stages with Matt Mayes & El torpedo, Sam Roberts, 3 Days Grace, Default, Wide Mouth Mason, The Trews, Mobile, Five Alarm Funk and many more. She has performed live on CBC, Free FM, Q99, Rock FM, and CJSR inspiriting those stations to keep her music on rotation, as well as at CKUA, and PeaceFM. She has proudly performed for the former Lt. Governor of Alberta, The Honourable Norman Lim Kwong and the former Premier of Alberta, Ed Stelmach. She is a passionate performer who can evoke a plethora of emotions with her rich contralto voice. Singing is what this woman was born to do, and it is evident in every performance. She is currently based out of Edmonton, Alberta and continues to perform solo, duo or with her band.
