Lutra Lutra is an Edmonton, AB based band consisting of Garreth and Katrina Burrows, Will Smith, Cody Willets and Denis Frigon. Formed in 2014 from the remaining members of Katasaurus Wrecks, a folk/ballad rock band, Lutra Lutra is dedicated to the mantra 'recognizable, but different'. By recognizing the need for new, fresh sounds while also paying homage to the music that paved the way for current groups, Lutra Lutra constructs a pleasing array of rhythmic grooves, catchy riffs, and powerful choruses. The Doors, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, Fleetwood Mac and Mother Mother have all contributed greatly as influences for Lutra Lutra as the group continues hone their sound, carving out a new niche in a vast musical world.
