Kat Zel is an active singer/songwriter in the vibrant Edmonton / Alberta music scene. Her dynamic vocalizations and profound lyrics, stir the soul.

Summer 2018 Kat recorded several singles for her first EP, was nominated for the Rising Star category at the EMA’s and appeared twice on Global TV. A national video submission to CBC’s Music Challenge got excellent feedback, when judges compared Kat to “the next Janis Joplin”, and commented that “Her unique psychedelic sound will resonate with your soul.” "Superior songwriting with depth. Kat is refreshing! Disarming and charming". "The originality of her performance is brilliant, heartfelt and real. Kat's songwriting is catchy and pleasing with a few delightful surprises, all while exhibiting outstanding vocal control."

Rhea March of C.J.S.R. radio, wrote: “Kat has been delivering music for the masses with groovy beats, hooky songs, relatable lyrics and great musicianship. Her vocals are raw and edgy - perhaps best described as Sass Jordan meets Melissa Etheridge with sprinklings of a young Deborah Harry. She’s one to watch - that’s for sure”.
