"Chief & Council" is a professional Canadian country rock band that specializes in fun and interactive top 40 country along with that warm heartfelt 90's country we grew up on. They add sultry 3 piece harmony to country rock, and toe tapping fiddle that will make you get up and dance.
Chief & Council is lead by award winning singer/songwriter & new indigenous country artist “Jarrid Lee” who represents the Saskatchewan Country Music Association and SaskMusic.
Jarrid Lee from St.Paul Alberta has played at various venues across Western Canada sharing the stage with artists such as Keith Secola, Don Amero, Trooper, David Lee Murphy, Colin Ray, Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, Jess Moskaluke, Midland, Luke Bryan and has assisted on shows with Tom Cochrane and the Legendary Tanya Tucker.
Alex Kusturok from Cold Lake Alberta is one of Canadas top fiddle players originating from Winnipeg Manitoba. He capitivates audiences with his unique style emulating east coast celtic with metis fiddling stemming from being a 3rd generation player. He is a multi award winning fiddle champion with 20+ years of experience.
Jonas Ranville from Bruderheim Alberta is a Metis drummer originally from Winnipeg Manitoba with roots to the very well known C-Weed band. Jonas has 30+ yrs experience playing Aboriginal and Metis events along with opening up for names like Buffy St. Marie, Mark Chestnutt, and The Road Hammers.
Reg “Vag” Whitecalf from Lloydminster hails from Sweetgrass First Nation, and in his 20+ years of experience he’s had the pleasure of performing and recording with numerous talented artists. Country, rock, blues, he’s versatile and blends many genres to come up with his own unique style.
Mat Patenaude is a professional bass player and vocalist from Edmonton Alberta. Throughout his musical journey he has played over 2000+ shows, from festivals like 'The Van's Warped tour', 'Midway Lake Music Festival', 'Yesterday was Everything' and the 'Calgary Stampede', to various parades, weddings, corporate, and main stage showcases.
Having experience in all genres, along with the honour of playing onstage with some of the greatest musicians. Mat could never thank his greatest mentors...his parents, for teaching him the beautiful language of music.
