Escaping Evil is a bona fide rock band based in Calgary, Alberta with a sound and style that has a 90’s lowdown grittiness interwoven with touches of 70’s psychedelic sultry melodies tied together with an edge of metal that ends up being an eclectic captivating mix for all music followers. Their influences range, but are not limited to, anywhere from Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix all the way to the darker corners with the likes of Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Soundgarden with a bit of metal thrown in for good measure like the Metallica of old and Pantera. Escaping Evil favours the stripped down, raw rock sound that comes out loud and pure.
