Edmonton is one of the most difficult cities in Canada to be homeless.
One of the coldest, most dangerous and most conservative; our cities street people
face a variety of often life threatening difficulties daily.
The majority of the Inner city agencies are funded primarily by
charitable donations and relies heavily on the support of programs like
The United Way. So for the second year in a row Clean Up Your Act & DV8 has
organized a United Way fundraiser that brings together some of the
city of champion’s best Hardcore bands to raise money for those in
need. Last year’s event (Hardcore for the Homless) was a major success raising 100s
of dollars and a huge load of clothing and food. This year I know we can beat it,
I am hoping to raise 1000 dollars to help keep our brothers and sisters on the street
safe this winter!! Please come out and support this cause!
