GROUNDED STAR: Fuzing the energy of punk rock with the complexities of progressive music, the textures of hard rock, and a sense of groove oft omitted from the heavier ranks of rock and alternative, Grounded Star creates music that's difficult tocategorize. Having recorded a debut EP with Kevin Hoskin (Portal, Living Illusion, The Order of Chaos, Mars and Venus), as well as sharing the stage with local heavy hitters Portal, Living Illusion, No Heat Tomorrow, Looking East and others, Grounded Star is forcing everyone around them to take notice

40 SONS: Authenticity, instinct, and passion for the music they create drives this dedicated group. Coming together circa 2004, the band was so eager to play they were booking shows even before they had a lead singer. Fate and luck were on their side and they found Mike Repic only a few weeks before the first gig….and they killed it.Pulling from a variety of musical authorities to create a matchless amalgam of alternative, rock and metal, 40 Sons is forged on being veracious, tenacious and credible.

KEEP 6: Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Keep 6 is a 5 piece original rock band driven by sheer determination to make waves in the Canadian music scene. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Scott Chalmers (Guitar), Shorre McColman (Vocals), Matthew Wispinski (Bass), Jay May (Drums), and the most recent valued addition in late 2011, Glenn Thorpe (lead guitar). Out of hard work and dedication comes great results and this has always proven to be the case for Keep 6. Since the start of writing, producing and recording the material for their third full length album, "Just A Matter Of Time", the fruits of their labors began to blossom. Since releasing the song "Hang" from the album in early December 2011 for the Radiostar National Talent Search, Keep 6 is thrilled to announce that they have made the final Top 50 Bands in Canada.

GRAIN: Grain is a recently formed band from Edmonton in the tradition of such legendary bands as Zeppelin, GN'R, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and other bands of the classic, alternative and current rock genres. Grain features the distinctive voice of Glen "Shag" Conley on vocals, the electrifying lead guitar work of Alex Moore, the precision rhythm guitar of Blair Charbonneau, the aggressive, yet elegant bass guitar artistry of Aaron Knudson and the ecclectic drum technique of Pete Mulder. Grain will be unveiling several new original songs this spring that are sure to rock your plimsoul. Hear them here first, guys and gals, as they will be on your local radio station in no time without a shadow of a doubt.
