Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd, & Lee Aaron

This event is expired ( Mar 25, 2023 )

Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Nick Gilders first group was Sweeney Todd, earning their rock wings playing every conceivable venue in the seventies, quickly evolving into a recording act. The first studio LP had the huge #1 Juno winning and multi platinum song Roxy Roller! A true classic. Founding members Nick and Jim the authors. Anthemic radio hits that still remind us of long hot summers, the soundtrack of our lives.

Lee Aaron. She is one of Canada most iconic vocalists, a songwriter, producer, and fearless reinventor. She was one of the very first women writing and performing hard rock, releasing her first album (The Lee Aaron Project) at the age of only nineteen. Her sophomore release, 1984s Metal Queen solidified Aaron as a trailblazer for women in rock in the 80s with the title track, an anthem of feminine empowerment and shout-out against the sexism toward women in that genre, garnering her respect and legions of rock fans around the globe.
