As a member of such seminal rock legends as Buffalo Springfield, Poco and Loggins & Messina, Jim has had his hand as a writer, singer, guitarist, producer and engineer in some of the most definitive music of the Rock era. His 1969 debut album with Poco entitled Pickin Up the Pieces, is the only debut album ever to receive a perfect rating from Rolling Stone magazine. His recordings with Kenny Loggins, which include hits songs such as "Watching the River Run", "Travelin' Blues", "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "Pathway to Glory", sold over 16 million albums world-wide and made Loggins & Messina one of the most successful recording duos of all time. Now, nearly 45 years after first stepping into the studio he has hit the road to tell the stories and sing the songs that established him as a true musical icon.
